Nothing moves down the road like an Escalade. With Cadillac luxury, it redefined the SUV
segment. Just in time for winter, this example is a second-generation 2002 model finished
in Silver Sand (gold) with tinted windows and a Shale leather interior. It is optioned with
the high-output 6.0L Vortec engine (345HP) along with all wheel drive and the towing package
(8,500 pounds). It has 127k miles and has seen only one winter, having spent most of its
life in Arizona.
This vehicle is in excellent mechanical condition and includes a full 1-month / 1k mile
warranty. The engine runs perfectly; it has an extremely quiet and smooth idle, but lets out
a roar when you step on it. It recently had all fluids changed, along with the catalytic
converters and spark plugs. You will not have any problems with emissions! The 4-speed
transmission shifts smoothly, and the brakes feel like new. The Stabili-Trak system is
wonderful, combining ABS, traction control, and stability control to keep things on the road.
The leather interior is wonderfully comfortable, with 6-way heated power seats in front, a
60/40 bench seat in the middle, and a split third row setup that is remarkably easy to remove
and flexible; you can take out the entire third row or just half of it. Front and rear
climate control is provided (Cadillac makes one of the best such systems). The stereo with
6-disc in-dash CD changer sounds fantastic. As a bonus, this Escalade includes three LCD
monitors (two headrest, one flip-down) and a DVD player.
There are loads of additional features. The back-up sensor warns you of obstacles you might
not see. There is a power sunroof with tilt and retract. The side mirrors have power
retract. Of course, you also get power windows, power locks, remote entry, outdoor
temperature, and cruise control. The analog clock is a nice touch as well.
This vehicle can do it all. You get the space of a full size SUV, the safety of all wheel
drive and Stabili-Trak, the towing capacity of a big V8, and the comfort and luxury of a
Cadillac. Get in an Escalade this winter!
